The brief
Exchange Art is a curated marketplace where artists mint, list and auction digital work. The product had to talk to two blockchains, stay fast under launch-day traffic, and remain maintainable as a small team shipped weekly.
What we built
- The Angular application and its NgRx state architecture, with a GraphQL layer (Apollo) as a backend-for-frontend so the UI never dealt with raw chain data directly.
- Serverless backend services on Google Cloud Run and Firebase functions with Firestore and the realtime database, integrating the Solana and Ethereum APIs for minting, listings, auctions and editions.
- Engineering practice across front and back end: architectural standards, code review, CI on TeamCity and the patterns that let a small team move quickly without breaking things.
Outcome
Two years as lead front-end engineer through the platform’s fastest period of growth, shipping new marketplace features and keeping the front end stable across chain and wallet changes.
