The brief
The AA runs many customer journeys, from breakdown cover to car insurance quotes, each historically built by a different team. They needed one component library that every journey could share, documented well enough that teams would actually use it.
What we built
- A shared Angular component library managed in an Nx workspace so libraries and applications lived together with enforced boundaries.
- Storybook documentation for every component, so designers and developers worked from the same living reference.
- Adoption in real journeys: the library powered the insurance and breakdown-cover flows that customers use to buy and manage cover.
Outcome
A single source of truth for The AA’s front-end components, reducing duplicated UI work across teams and giving product changes one place to land.
